Målsætninger |
By the end of the course, you should be able to:
-
explain why it is important to measure software reliability.
-
describe a generic statistical approach and some specific models and methods
-
describe methods for comparing and assessing the accuracy of predictions.
-
interpret the results of applying these methods,
-
explain the capability and limitations of software reliability measurement,
with particular reference to testing strategies and diverse systems.
-
argue the need for reliability assessment at all stages of the software
life-cycle, identifying the role of software reliability models in this
wider context.
-
apply the principles of measurement to ensure that meaningful sets of statistics
are obtained for the assessment of reliability.
-
define the number of (as yet) unanswered questions.
