Due to the sparsity of available measurements (we have 154 in-plane light-view configurations), renderings based directly on measured data exhibit significant artifacts in interpolation between solid angle bins. Thus, we find our analytic model a useful tool for smoothly representing the BRDF of a goniochromatic material even if only sparse measurements are available.
