Lecture 8: CMOS Circuit and Logic Design : Construction of a digital IC

Purpose: To discuss the proper choice of production technology and
to discuss the layout of complex logic gates
Contents:
Custom and semi-custom technologies
The floorplan
Graph representation of a circuit
Transformation of graph representations - Euler paths
Automatic approach to layout generation

Lecture 9: CMOS Circuit and Logic Design : Logic Configurations

Purpose: To present and discuss different logic configurations
Contents:
Static logic: Complementary logic and pseudo-nMOS logic
Pass-transistor logic
Dynamic logic: Precharge logic and Domino logic

Lecture 10: Clock Strategies

Purpose: To discuss the impact of various clocking strategies
