Laboratory

• The 2*45 min. morning lectures will be followed by an up to 2 hour, lecturer-guided laboratory session – for interested students – followed by an up to two hour students “alone” session !
• In this laboratory we shall attempt to analyse and partially describe a domain.
• One of the following – suggested¹ – domains could be the basis for our laboratory project:
  • Financial Services
  • Forest Industry
  • Oil Industry, a la ÖMV
  • Great Rivers Shipping ²
  • Opera Theatre
  • Air Traffic Control
  • Winter Olympics
  • Health Care
  • Assembly Line Mfg.
• The objective of the laboratory is, for the participants, however informally, to grasp what it takes to analyse & describe a relevant domain.
