Tracking keeping systems with predictive control
Abstract
This report is concerned with the design and implementation of a route
tracking system for ships, using predictive control. The report presents the syn
thesis of the ship's control system based upon the minimization of the mean
square prediction of the ship's deviation from the desired track.
The performance of this route tracking system is tested by numerical
simulations with a nonlinear stochastic model of a ship.
